To Mr. Jose Maria Monterrey, CPK Consultores, and the government of El Salvador,

We the undersigned would like to express our deep concern and opposition to the proposed project at Runta Roca, La Libertad, El Salvador. We believe the plan will damage and perhaps destroy one of the best tourist attractions that the city of La Libertad currently has. The surfing wave at Punta Roca is widely regarded as one of the best in the world. We are not against the development plans to build apartment buildings on the point, only against their desire to include a seawall and pier in the project proposal. If the developers are allowed to construct these structures, the tourist attraction of Punta Roca could disappear, which would have a negative effect on the local economy.

We ask that you reevaluate the project, and urge the developers to redesign it to have less of an impact on the natural environment and the waves.
