do Mar's hotly-contested seawall is complete,
but the verdict is still out on how badly
the wave has been damaged. Locals, however,
are saddened by the loss of their natural
coastline, and feel that the government

Madeira scored their first victory
in 2001 when they successfully
lobbied the government of Madeira
to move a marina away from the
right point known as Lugar de
Baixo.
